Our guesthouse, consisting of 6 self check-in rooms, is located in one of Bergamo’s most beautiful neighbourhoods.
Borgo Santa Caterina is one of the ares that best represent the character of our city: from the bright colors of the shop windows to the aromas of the delicatessens, to the historic buildings that enclose this incredible treasure chest of wonders like a pearl.
You can indulge in a coffee while contemplating how past and present, tradition and innovation come together, making this the perfect place anytime, even if just for a stroll. In the evening you will find the main street dotted with pubs and cafés, each with its own unique style to meet the expectations of the most diverse tastes.
Our rooms are strategically located for those visiting the city for events, trade fairs or for those who need a comfortable stay near the Gewiss Stadium, the Papa Giovanni XXIII Hospital and the Milan Bergamo Airport BGY Airport.
This neighborhood, which owes its name to its most beautiful street dedicated precisely to St. Catherine, can be reached from several access points, through which one can immerse oneself in the heart of an area full of life.
For art lovers, there is also the remarkable artistic heritage, concentrated mainly within the sacred buildings. Among these we recommend the Santuario dell’Addolorata, which contributes to making Borgo Santa Caterina a corner of Bergamo that offers emotions all year round. In addition, 300 meters from our guesthouse, you will find the famous Pinacoteca dell’Accademia Carrara and also the GAMeC – Bergamo’s famous Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art.
Near the guesthouse you can find a stairway that connects“Lower Bergamo” to our charming and admirable “Upper Bergamo” in just few minutes. The center of Bergamo is only a few minutes from Le Muraine and can be reached on foot, again in a few minutes, or by public transportation.

When the Serenissima took possession of Bergamo in 1428, the villages that had stretched to the plain were already protected by walls, which Venice reinforced and completed between 1430 and 1435.
In the foreground, the wall that encircled Bergamo, externally lapped by the Roggia Serio (originally Fossatum Communis Pergami), today largely buried.
So there were the Muraine, a fortified curtain wall with Guelph battlements, marked by pusters and hatches equipped with drawbridges, turrets and an external moat, perhaps too fragile to guarantee a secure defence but certainly more than sufficient to define a customs enclosure through which Venice imposed a heavy levy: on all goods, services, titles of ownership and activities exercised within that fragile enclosure.
